Liquid Luscious Locks

Dynamic duos seem to have taken over my blog lately, but this duet is all your hair will ever need. I’ve always struggled to find a Shampoo & Conditioner combo that works for me, nothing really targets the problems I face even though I’m sure many people experience them. My hair gets greasy very quickly at the roots, whereas the rest of it begins to dry out if I regularly wash it to deal with the greasiness. So I struggle to find a balance, I need a product that can give me clean hair for a few days or one that controls grease at the roots without drying out the rest. You can begin to sense that it’s slightly complex and no product really targets that. So a while back I stopped trying, and focused on restoring shampoos or ones that promise to repair hair, in the hopes of finding one that can change the overall texture of my hair in the long run. It’s important to note, I don’t regularly heat my hair. I probably straighten or curl my hair once every two weeks, and I let it dry naturally. As for colouring, I have never died my hair (shock, horror). I like my natural hair colour as of now, and have planned since I was younger to save dying my hair for my wedding day (hahaha, laughable, I know). It’s a silly plan, but it’s helped me if I’m honest; I’ve never experienced the kind of breakage and dryness my friends that dye their hair complain of. But I’m still not completely happy with my hair, it could be stronger and thicker and I wish it wouldn’t get as greasy as it does ( dry shampoo is my best friend).

So now that we’ve established where I’m at, let’s delve into the products. I’ve been obsessed with Hask’s argan hair oil treatment for years, it smells like Moroccan oil and has the same effects at a cheaper price point. My hair will always look freshly blow-dried whenever I use it, it is shiny healthy hair in a bottle -guaranteed. So when I came across the Shampoo and Conditioner in Ulta, I just had to try them. I went for the Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner, and from the first wash my life was changed. Finally, finally, finally. Finally a shampoo and conditioner that leaves my hair shiny and soft, without having to worry about grease. I managed to last about 3 days without having to wash my hair, or even use dry shampoo! Which is insane for me. The reason I think this duo would work for anyone as amazingly, is because fixing my greasiness isn’t the only result it’s given me. My overall hair texture has improved tremendously. It promises to be colour safe, and I can absolutely confirm it’s promises to leave hair softer than ever. I also often struggle with extremely tangled hair that I have to deal with every time I leave the shower, but as I lathered the Repairing Conditioner into my hair I already felt the tangles come apart between my fingers; and surprise surprise, one swipe through my hair with my tangle teezer, and it was all clear! It doesn’t stop there, this shampoo and conditioner also gave my hair more volume and bounce than I’ve ever experienced.

I could rave about this for pages, but the best way for you to understand the results would obviously be to try it. If you’d like to test it out first, Ulta stocks a mini version of the hair oil which I think would be a good way to dip your toes in! Let me know what you think 🙂
