First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage…

Perfumes are a serious commitment. Think about it, choosing one means committing yourself to this single scent, it means deeming it worthy to introduce to people in your life, it means you decide you’re okay with having it always be associated with you, it means you chose it to be the one you share your best memories with, and sometimes your worst. It’s a decision that cannot be taken lightly, a decision that naturally comes with a courting period. We test it out every time we’re out, cling onto that sheet of paper as memorabilia of your time together, occasionally sniffing it to relive the experience. Flirting with the idea of buying it but never truly committing, until that final moment at the checkout table where you finally say I do; I choose you.

We’ve experienced beauty subscription boxes and the excitement that comes with them and we’ve experienced travel sizes of our favorite products. What’s so unique about Scent Bird is that finally the world of scents can bring the two together like the beauty world has! Why buy a travel size or roller ball when you can have a whole months worth for a fraction of the price. If that weren’t enough, the excitement of trying out a different one every month from the wide selection offered is! Ranging from celebrity perfumes to Tom Ford’s infamous pricey concoctions- this company offers it all! I’m seriously impressed by the initiative and the niche this company has filled and testing it out for myself only further impressed me! 

I personally lean towards either sweet and fruity scents or deeper sexy ones. My perfume collection ranges from Escada’s finest summer collections to Tom Ford’s Velvet Orchid. I’ve always considered Prada Candy as a logical next step (aka my logic). I’ve come across it in many-a-Sephora and a brief whiff always confirmed that this perfume was the ideal cross between both ends of the spectrum; both sweet as well as deep and sexy. A few whiffs were hardly enough, so when this opportunity arose it was the first perfume I chose. 

My dark and mysterious package held a velvet soft pouch with my sleek twist up perfume hidden away inside. The bottle is perfect for traveling, the twist up feature of the bottle makes it ideal for avoiding any leaking or loss of any product. Aside from that the luxurious packaging is definitely a bonus – and you can choose a variety of colors! As for the perfume itself; just for a point of reference, the notes are caramel, musk, vanilla and benzoin. After trying it out for a while I’m realizing it’s definitely more sweet and musky rather than fruity at all. It’s a deep sophisticated scent that’s perfect for s night out. The scent is actually intoxicating to me- it’s strong but not too strong, it’ll definitely linger on your clothing. I could still smell it on my wrist after 24 hours and I couldn’t stop going in for a whiff. The more and more I wore it the more the obsession grew. The sweet vanilla and caramel tones feel flirty and feminine but the musk and benzoin give a dark and mysterious sophistication that just lingers and leaves you wanting more. 

Using Scent Bird is just what I needed. The more I tried the perfume the more I figured out it is entirely different to what I had expected, and while in this case different was for the better- I can’t help but wonder if it would’ve gone otherwise. The chance to try it gave me the time to figure out the difference and adjust to it and figure out if it was something I wanted or not. Less than a month in and I’ve already ordered the perfume online; I was obsessed. Meanwhile here I am browsing the Scent Bird website for my next pick! 

I’d seriously recommend this subscription, it reached within less than a week and the size and packaging just had me sold. The perfect amount to keep you going for even longer than needed as well as the perfectly made travel spray bottle!
