Pamper Yourself Essentials…

I love to spoil myself. I’m sure we’re all guilty of giving ourselves some time to pamper and de-stress; even on days we don’t need it! I’m the absolute worst. I’ve had phases where I genuinely take a long bath and give myself a facial every night of the week. I’m a very stressful person by nature, I work myself up over the silliest things and nothing can quite wind me down like a lovely evening to myself. This post has been in the works for a while now, I’m just such a huge fan of pamper evenings that I knew I had to share my secrets at one point. I actually took these photos a while back on my visit to Bali, that entire vacation was a pamper evening if you ask me and so I knew it’d be the best opportunity to capture it. A couple of months late and here I am, so play some meditation music and grab a cup of tea and follow these steps, let’s pamper ourselves…

pamper evening flatlay

I like to begin by grabbing the essentials I plan to use and propping them up right by the bath tub, ready to be put to work!

cup of tea

First thing’s first, I make my tea just how I like it and let it cool down- yes you read right, I like my tea lukewarm, can’t stand it hot.

lush twilight

You didn’t think I’d have a pamper evening without a bath bomb, did you? This evening’s bomb of choice was Twilight, I love the beautiful lavender relaxing scent and the blue colour it turns my tub. I also dissolve a bubble bar under the tap – I used Rose Jam this night, I usually use The Comforter.

Then, relax. I like to take my time in the bath for a while. Whether with an episode of a feel-good show like Gilmore Girls or just listening to my bath-time playlist haha. Just sip on my tea and try to clear my mind.

clarisonic

Once I begin to get wrinkly and settle down, I put my tea aside and start the process. I begin by washing my face with my clarisonic- now I don’t use a clarisonic everyday, I just like to pamper myself with a deep cleanse once in a while. I also like to use a different luxurious cleanser on these nights, so I went for the Fresh Soy cleanser.

kiehls mask

After I’ve cleansed, I like to apply a pore-cleansing mask. I’ve been obsessed with Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing mask- it smells like a spa to me and I love how it feels on my skin. It’s not painful or harsh, really the most gentle but effective mask.

paper masks

Once I’ve given my mask the time it needs and sipped on some more tea, I remove it and move on to the next step. Now, I know eye gel patches are meant to wake you up but I just love the cooling sensation so much that I actually prefer using them to wind down. So I apply my favourite Tarte gel patches fresh out of the fridge. Then I apply a sheet mask- of course! I usually go for a blemish clearing one but more recently I’ve been trying to deal with my scarring more than breakouts, so I prefer brightening or hydrating ones.

nars body oil

Relaxation is usually at it’s best by this point. I feel pampered and completely zen. That’s usually the point where I like to lather my body in a luxurious body oil. What’s more luxurious than Nars? I’ve been obsessed with this Nars Monoi Body Glow Oil purely because of the scent. I can’t even describe this it’s just the more gorgeous sweet scent and it completely winds me down. Once it’s lathered across my chest and arms, I get out of the bath and lay in bed to apply it onto my legs. At this point I spend a good hour just laying there because I just feel so zen haha.

So that’s it, that’s all it takes to get Noha in the best mood and mindset possible. Try some of these products out and let me know how they go once you can peel yourself out of the tub!

P.s. Props to my favourite human being, my best friend, my sister for having the patience to pose for these photos haha.

  8. Wow this sounds like a regime I want to try!! I have to say…regardless of the products,….I love the fact your cup of tea is the same colour I have mine…everyone says I make my tea too weak haha! However I do prefer to drink it hot!! I’m loving the sound of those eye gel patches! I’ll have to give those a try! Great post xx
