It’s that time of month again. I actually struggled a fair bit this month. I’ve been hauling like crazy, and so the month has essentially been all about trying out new products. So, I do feel that a lot of the products I’ve been loving can’t really be mentioned as I’ve only used them a couple of times. But when it came down to it, I did realize there a few staples I’ve used almost everyday this month, so let’s get right into it…
Let’s start with the most recent discovery. I’d been seeing L’Oreal’s Hydra Genius range all over instagram for a while, and I’ve been in the market for some really intense hydration. I decided to not turn directly to The Ordinary like I usually do, and to try out another affordable option. I was obsessed with this from the first day. I woke up the next morning with my skin feeling soft as a baby’s bottom. I honestly haven’t had my skin feels this soft ever. I’ve started to use it before makeup as well and I just love how everything sits on it. Definitely a new holy grail moisturizer.
Now let’s get The Ordinary out of the way because I’m sure I’ve bored you all. But, I have been loving using this AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. I use this about twice a week, and I wish I could use it everyday honestly. It leaves my skin feeling so smooth and is definitely the product that makes the most difference for me in terms of texture. Love the results this give honestly, the best form of chemical exfoliation I’ve ever tried!
Let’s throw it way back for a second. I cannot remember the last time I used Mary Lou-manizer. This was my first highlighter ever and the only one I used for years. Naturally, it’s fallen way way back with all my new purchases over the past few years. A couple of weeks ago I reached for it, and I haven’t stopped ever since. I’ve been struggling a lot with highlight honestly, everything seems to look so patchy and like a stripe on my cheekbones. it just isn’t working for me. This has been working the best though, and I forgot how beautiful the colour is! Obsessed.
This is a short one. Kat Von D’s Trooper Liquid Liner will always be my holy grail and the only one I will ever use, I need a brush tip it just works best for me. I love this and so I picked up a limited edition version and it’s definitely been a favourite because I’m just obsessed with the packaging. It feels so heavy too which actually makes it easier to work with if I’m honest.
Lastly, this is all that has been on my lips really. You all know about my countless Colourpop orders, and I’ve wanted to give everything a fair trial but I always end up just wearing the Finders Keepers Gloss. Their lip gloss formula is the best out there, I’m sure and this colour is such a gorgeous natural pink. So easy to wear and they fade so beautifully.
Let me know what products you’ve been loving for the month of May 🙂
I need to try Mary Lou, I just hate ordering online haha. Lovely favorites dear. xx

I’m loving all things ordinary! THE Ordinary. I just started using Glycolic Acid Toner 7% as a chemical exfoliant newbie and was so happy my sensitive skin is loving it!

How would you say the AHA peeling solution compares to the Retinol? I’m intrigued! Once am out of a couple of The Ordinary products, think I’ll definitely try that next. 🙂
Lovely range of favourites – all are unfamiliar to me! Of course, I’ve heard tonnes about the Mary-Lou but don’t own a highlighter (I know, shocking)…one day….

I’d say they’re very different honestly. They do both help with texture, but I feel like the AHA is more intense and brightens and clarifies my skin. While the retinoid really gives me more of a glow. I don’t know, I definitely think they’re different because I could never choose just one of them to own haha.
Omg you need a highlighter asap girl! Thank you for reading xx
