Falling into Fall: The Luxury Lip Edit

To some, fall may symbolize leaves falling and thanksgiving. Well, to me it pretty much primarily symbolizes fall lips. Now, most lip colors can be rocked all year around, but the fall lip belongs entirely between September and December. Okay, who are we kidding, we all love a good bold fall lip for the occasional summer night. How can we resist? There’s just something about a deep berry or red that slays every single time. You can wear it with a full on glam look or even rock it with your no makeup makeup. I just live for bold lips to be honest. This year I’ve managed to narrow it down to three favourites that have been my go-tos. Now, bear in mind I love a good red lip all year round and I’ve definitely gone for red through fall, but these are my three stereotypical fall shades!

Yes, yes, yes. I believe this will be the third time you hear my rave about this so I’ll keep it short. You all know my love for Too Faced’s Melted Liquid Lipstick formula, and their limited edition Gingerbread shade has been my go to fall lip. It is the ultimate perfect rust brown/orange. It’s basically an autumn leaf in a lipstick!

Fall would not be complete without a deep berry lip, and this has been my one of choice. The Desi x Katy x Dose of Colors has arguably been the collab of the year, and as one of their biggest fans I’ve been loving this collection and honestly wish I bought some backups! Savage was a love/hate product for me at first. Don’t be fooled by the photo, this looks a lot darker on and it’s just very out there. But, this has easily been my go to because of how amazing the formula is. It’s tricky to find a great dark liquid lip, they usually apply patchy and are hard to get right. This one is super easy to apply and lasts all day!

For when I’m feeling extra boujee, I’ve actually been loving this Tom Ford Lipstick in Black Orchid. It is strange for me to use because I typically hate lipsticks. Specifically with bold lips, I need a matte liquid lip. But, for some reason I’ve kind of been loving this. I especially love patting it onto my lips to give them a kind of berry toned ombre effect. The formula is great and even though it’s hydrating it still is so long lasting!
