Once upon a time, my Instagram consisted entirely of daily flatlays showing the makeup I used that day. It became a part of my everyday makeup routine to take a photo of the products. It is crazy to think that it’s been 6 months since I last posted one. It’s even crazier to think that throughout my entire blog I’ve only written ONE everyday makeup routine! I do think it’s partially because I’m constantly testing out makeup so it’s always in rotation, but every once in a while I end up sticking to the same routine for weeks on end. This past fall has been one of those months. Although as I write this I’ve spent the past week testing out new makeup every single day… I can’t help it, guys, all of those hauls need to be trialed! Well, for the most of fall I have stuck to this routine with these products so I thought I’d share before it changes!
You’ll all be happy to hear that since my last everyday makeup routine I have learnt the error of my ways; I moisturize and apply SPF before makeup! Promise! Once I’m done with that, I will always use two different primers; a hydrating one all over and then a pore filling on on my problem areas. I’ve been loving the First Aid Beauty Coconut Smoothie for hydration. First of all, it smells insanely amazing but I really love how hydrating it is without feeling too thick or heavy. For pore-filling it’s been all about Touch in Sol’s No Poreblem Primer for me. We’ll leave it at that because I have an in depth review of this coming soon…
I’ve been testing out tons of foundations these past few months, and it just won’t work. My skin has been a train-wreck honestly. I’ve found that foundation always looks too heavy or cakey. So, I’ve been opting for the most lightweight foundations I own that still cover up my scarring. It’s been between The Ordinary’s Serum Foundation and NYX’s Total Control Drops. Guys, I’m hooked. These both genuinely feel and look like I have absolutely nothing on my skin, but they completely even out my skin and have such insane coverage. It’s honestly magic. Obsessed!
As you may know, my makeup routine order is quite strange. After my foundation I move to eyes. I have hands down done this same eyeshadow look every day this month. I just take some sticky tape to get a perfect cat flick. Then I take my Peaches & Cream Too Faced Palette and start by applying Peach Tea across my lash line. I kind of blend it to about mid-lid I’d say. Then I add Peach Tart and concentrate that closer to the lash line to form a gradient. Lastly I take Chocolate Dipped and concentrate that fully on the lash line and flick it out. This gives me the most beautiful smokey liner- it is honestly so flattering and goes with all of my fall lips!
Aaaaaaand Back to Base
Concealer is definitely something I’ve tested a lot of recently, but there have been so many fails that I always just go back to my trusty Tarte Shape Tape. Can I just take this moment to say, HOW HOW HOW do people apply as much as they do of this concealer? I literally apply two dots and I’m set. Anyways, I then set it in place with my Rimmel Stay Matte as always. To set the rest of my face I’ve been testing out Benefit’s Hello Flawless powder-still figuring out how I feel about this.
To bronze I’ve been obsessed with Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer in Light. This stuff is so buildable and creamy, I know I can never end up with an OTT orange cheek. For blush I’ve found the dream. I love a pink blush for the colder months, it always looks so naturally flushed. This is the perfect pink, it’s not very pigmented which I love because of how easy it is to apply without going overboard.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Back to The Eyes
Guys, I know. My routine is strange. Once I’ve finished my face, it’s time to go back to lashes. I’ve been obsessed with this Tarte Eyelash Curler , I mean how cute is the packaging! Then, I will not say a word about the Lancome Monsieur Big because a review is coming soon. It needs it’s own moment to shine.
That’s all! This has been generally the same makeup I wear everyday, with the odd interchangeable product which is usually foundations or concealers. Let me know ONE product you’ve been obsessed with and used everyday this past month!
