What better way to dive back in than with one of my favourite posts to write? Yes, Favourites are my favourite post to write (feel free to turn this post into a drinking game). Given my 4 month hiatus, I definitely have a fair few months to catch up on. But for now let’s take baby steps…If I’m honest- I very recently got a huge haul of makeup and skincare last week. Now, the majority of those products would be mentioned here as they are already holy grail favourites, but I figured I’d hold off for a bit and try them for at least a little over a week! Now that that’s out of the way, let’s jump into what I’ve been loving for the month of May! Christian Dior Paris Souffle De Soie: How about we start with the most surprising favourite? Honestly, when it comes to fragrance I know what I like. Give me anything vanilla/amber based with a deep smokey scent, or anything sweet like my Viktor & Rolf Bon Bon (holy grail). I got this random Christian Dior perfume in a goody bag and I’ve been obsessed ever since. It smells super fresh and light while also sexy and sophisticated. I suck at describing perfumes so here are the notes: jasmine, rose, and tuberose. But honestly- it isn’t that floral, I’m personally very anti-floral.
Dose of Colors Sassy Siennas: I. Die. Over the past few months during my hiatus, I’ve been all about the DOC Baked Browns palette. It is essentially all I have used every day. I had to try more so I went for the Sassy Siennas. This is a warm neutrals lover’s actual dream. The formula is insanely pigmented and buttery, it is an absolute dream to blend! But what I love most are the shades themselves. I’ve been loving getting slightly out of my comfort zone and going for a more bold coral look lately!
bareMinerals Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer: Now, I’ll admit. This was actually one of those T.J/T.K Maxx purchases that were too good of a deal to walk away. I figured I’d use it as a base for an overall glow on no makeup days. But fast forward 5 months and I just never used it! Until a few weeks ago. I saw Jamie Paige use it in a video as a liquid bronzer, and my life hasn’t been the same since! This is such a beautiful natural bronzer that melts right into the skin without budging my base. I love the shade and the natural bronze this gives me!
NARS Powermatte Pigment in Save The Queen and Walk This Way: Please, don’t make the same mistake as me and heavily apply these like a liquid lipstick! The formula on these are so insanely long lasting and staining, but the tiniest bit goes a long way! I prefer to just dab a couple of dots of this onto my lips and blend out with my fingers. It leaves the most natural and beautiful stain that feels weightless and lasts all day long- obsessed!
Blisstex Conditioning Lip Serum: I am a lip treatment addict. I’m just one of those people that you know will always have countless lip balms in her purse and is constantly removing her lipstick to apply a treatment. Having super soft and conditioned lips is a must for me. And while I’ve tried high end and drugstore; nothing seems to work quite like this. Now, be warned, the serum does have a whitecast on your lips but the results are so worth it! This is my go-to night time treatment as well as applying it while I do my makeup to get my lips in perfect condition before applying any product!
Your chooises are great! I love Nars Lipsticks, and as you said ‘a little goes a long way’.
The dose of colors palette looks beautiful! xx

I was going to ask if that BareMinerals product was new on the market but it must not be if it was from TK Maxx? I have just never seen it before. EVER! Never ever heard of it being mentioned. I do think BareMinerals is one of those quiet brands that people don’t talk loads of but when they do, it’s mostly positives.
