Sephora VIB Rouge Sale: My Game Plan…

Honestly, I was blindsided by this sale announcement. I completely forgot about and didn’t even realize it was coming up. Regardless, it couldn’t have come at a better time. I haven’t really made any high end purchases lately. I feel like I just keep hauling and testing out affordable makeup and just secretly lusting after countless sephora new releases. Now, I started this game plan off seriously dramatically. The number $400 was in the mix. I decided I needed to simmer down a tad. I also realized that Ulta was also having their platinum member sale so I wanted to hit that too. After countless processes of elimination, I ended up with only seven products, two of which I might move over to Ulta but I thought I’d mention them here anyway. This post definitely isn’t a guide to what you should be buying in the sale, I’m well aware that my picks are very random. I feel like most people go for their most expensive products on their wishlist during the sale, but honestly my wishlist just isn’t that steep right now haha.

I’m so ready to pick these up. I hate texture. My skin is just so textured and I feel like it’s mostly a result of my huge pores. What I mean is that my visible pores make my skin look bumpy and textured. I’ve tried pore smoothing primers and nothing seems to help. I’ve just accepted them, but over the past year I just keep hearing this powder come up. Everyone raves about it and seems to claim this genuinely blurs pores. I’ve had a powder mid-life crisis lately, I just use random ones everyday but I don’t feel like I have a favourite wow-product. So I’m hoping this will be it. I’m also going to pick it up in the loose powder form and see how that works on my under-eyes.

Yesss, I honestly am struggling so much with this purchase. Struggling because I wish I could buy the entire collection. Call me silly or unnecessary, but I genuinely want this mostly because of the packaging. It’s silly I know, but it’s so gorgeous I just need to buy as many as possible of this- it brings me happiness so I will. It doesn’t hurt that this is the first lipstick release where I genuinely love every single shade. I’m a mauve-y pink girl always, and there are 50 options here. So far I’ve convinced myself to stick to getting Surf’s Up and Crusin’, but I can’t resist Salt Lyfe and 5 O Clock anymore honestly. Wish I could afford a huge collection of these.

You know I have to support my girl. I love Casey Holmes, she’s truly one of my favourite YouTubers. So, once this came out I knew I had to pick it up, but I just kept putting it on the back burner. I’m so glad I did because now I can get some money off! I’m going to be getting the shade Pearl, I just think it’s the first highlighting palette where I love every single colour in it. SO gorgeous!

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Sephora Favorites sets, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen one I’m drawn to. I genuinely shrieked when I saw this. It’s genuinely perfection. I love every single product included and it’s only $38! I also love that there’s an SK-II Essence in here, I swear by that essence and I’ve always lived off samples because I cant afford the full size haha, so I’m glad to get another mini.

Short story here, I raved on about this in White Russian in my What’s in My Bag post. But, as I said there I want it in a mauve pink shade. So, I’m going to pick this up in the shade Dolly.

Now, I know this may seem silly but I’ve been meaning to repurchase this for ages now. There was a time where this was my holy grail product that I could not stop using, then it fell behind really quickly. Lately it keeps coming up and I keep thinking I want to repurchase it. So, I figured I might as well get it in the gorgeous fun packaging haha.

Let me know what you’re thinking to pick up! I’m still battling with whether to pick up the NARs soft matte concealer or not. Knowing me, I’ll end up getting it!
