Too Faced F&F Haul & First Impressions…

Who doesn’t love a good friends & family sale? I often find it’s the best way to pick up products you’ve been stalking for a while on Sephora. While I love Ulta and Sephora, it’s rare to find discounts or special offers on your favourite brands- that’s where I turn to F&F sales. This Too Faced F&F sale could not have come at a better time. While I didn’t pick up much- this is honestly one of my favourite hauls I’ve done. Let’s see what I picked up…

I could continue in true Noha style and tell a long melodramatic story about my longing for this product, but let’s keep it short and sweet? Well, short by my standards… From the second it was released I’d been eyeing up the Just Peachy Velvet Mattes Eyeshadow Palette. I love Too Faced’s eye shadow formula, they’re always so smooth and buttery and easily blended. I can’t remember the last time I bought a palette of theirs, but this one just screamed ME. I resisted as much as I could, but the second I got the email of this sale I was already checking out.

For a while now I’ve had something on my wish list that probably isn’t very justifiable considering how many eyeshadow palettes I own… But, I’ve been wanting a solid matte neutrals palette that has it all. I want my pale yellow, my transition shades, my warm neutrals and darker colors all in one palette. I own all of these things, but I don’t have them all in one place. This palette was 100% that for me so I knew I needed it. Shock, horror, it did not disappoint! The formula was as buttery as ever, if anything I think they’ve seriously improved the blendability with this palette. The one downfall I’ll say is that a couple of the transition shades looked pretty similar when on the eyes, but I’m okay with that. I’ve been using this palette every single time I wear makeup and it has definitely lived up to what I wanted it for! (Ps. YES, it really does smell just like peaches – some people aren’t huge fans but I personally live for peaches!)

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll know that the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks are my favourite lippies. They’re my favourite liquid lipstick formula, but I also just love everything about them in general- the packaging, for example is my fave! When I saw that they had a limited edition holiday shade, I felt obliged to get it haha. I could have resisted if it wasn’t such a ME colour. The Gingerbread shade is a gorgeous burnt orange with brown undertones. It reminds me of Lime Crime’s Pumpkin which I love. It’s such a beautiful fall shade and I’m obsessed.

The formula lives up to the originals. It’s just so comfortable on the lips and applies so easily. Even the darkest of colors apply evenly and so easily. I love that they’re not super liquidy, and kind of apply velvety and then dry matte. It’s difficult to explain but honestly it’s just so comfortable on the lips! It’s so tricky to get how beautiful this colour is to show up in the photo- but honestly it’s just my dream burnt orange color, I’m in love! I will say however, the one downside for me is the scent. It smells like gingerbread. Pretty strongly. Now, I will say that it doesn’t linger, it just bothers me while I first apply it. Some of you may love the sweet scent but I just never like dessert scented anything so thank god it doesn’t stick around!

Then, I was lucky enough to order so early that the deluxe samples selections were amazing! I checked back a couple of days later and found they were only offering foil packettes so yay! I got a deluxe sample of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and the Mascara Melt-Off. How exciting! I had one of the deluxe sized mascaras and honestly it lasted me for ages and ages, so I feel as though I bought the mascara!
