Colourpop Holiday Lippies Haul + Review

My unwavering love and support for Colourpop is no secret at this point. They’re easily the best affordable brand out there as far as I’m concerned. They never fail to deliver high quality at a super low price. 2017 has definitely been their year. With the release of various new lipstick formulas, eye-shadow palettes and concealers! It’s been a wild ride, and I’ve loved and hauled every second of it. When they released a beautiful holiday collection, you know I had to get my hands on it.

About a month ago, Colourpop released 10 liquid lipsticks ranging in formulas. They each came in this beautiful gold sprinkled packaging and ranged from nudes to deep reds. In all honesty, I wanted to get every single one but I resisted and went for the 5 that drew me in. Clearly I chose right, since all 5 are currently the only ones sold out.

I picked up Flurries, Lightweight, Snowfleek, Take a Pixie, and Fragile Things. They’re all ultra matte lip formulas which I was a bit concerned about. Back in the day when I first got into Colourpop, I hated their ultra matte formula. It was always super drying and crackly on lips so I hated it. But, I was too tempted by this line and decided to give it a second try, and I’m so glad I did.

I don’t know what happened, but their formula has completely transformed. This was possibly the most comfortable liquid lipstick I’ve ever worn. It’s actually comparable to Huda Beauty or Too Faced’s Melted Matte which are my favourite liquid lipstick formulas of all time. They’re super watery and just dry so comfortably. They set to a kind of powdery finish which I find helps avoid overdryness and makes it easy for you to smack your lips and eat without any transferring or separation.

The shades are all beautiful typical me shades. If I had to point out some highlights it has to be Fragile Things which is my dream color I’ve been searching for for years. It reminds me of Kylie’s Love Bite which I always wanted to buy. It’s just a beautiful cool toned pupley/nude. It’s impossible to explain other than that it looks like a love bite haha. I’m obsessed honestly, I own nothing like it! Another beauty is Snowfleek which is such a gorgeous rust red. It’s honestly the most beautiful red I cannot even explain.

Then, we have three typical nude/pink shades that I typically go for. Flurry was definitely a standout of the three because this is genuinely the perfect mauve pink. I’m obsessed! It’s just such a ‘your lips but better’ shade and I’ve been obsessed.

Between the formula and the shades these get a 10/10 from me. Honestly, I’m beyond obsessed they’re just so beautiful. The packaging alone is enough to leave me sold!

I hope my order arrives soon! They accidentally sent me the wrong order by mistake the first time they shipped it out so I’ve been waiting a while 😅

  5. How beautiful! I haven’t tried Colourpop as I am so disgruntled about having to pay a high exchange rate to order from them, but it’s definitely on my list of brands to try out!
